Anita Jantz: Pastel & Watercolor Artist
Anita Jantz has created watercolor and pastel works professionally since 1989, drawn to luminous, transparent color that brings florals, landscapes, and nature studies to life. Her work has won awards locally and nationally and has been displayed in galleries in Louisville and Longmont for the last decade.
She has completed workshops with Terry Madden, Tony Couch, and Tom Lynch, received numerous commissions, and teaches in‑studio watercolor and pastel classes as well as private lessons.
Artist’s Statement on Nature and Color
“I paint what excites me, which is usually found in nature. I see colors abounding everywhere, and I enhance these colors in my paintings for the viewers to see what I see. I strive to record and make permanent those things in life, which are fragile and fleeting. I hope to give the viewer a new visual experience of what nature has to offer.”
