Anita Jantz has been creating watercolor and pastel paintings professionally since 1989. She fell in love with the transparent hues that bring florals, landscapes, and natural subjects to life. Having studied under artists like Terry Madden, Tony Couch, and Tom Lynch, Anita has exhibited her award-winning work in Louisville and Longmont galleries for over a decade and offers tailored watercolor and pastel classes and private lessons in her studio.
Artist’s Statement: Capturing Nature
“I paint what excites me, which is usually found in nature. I see colors abounding everywhere, and I enhance these colors in my paintings for the viewers to see what I see. I strive to record and make permanent those things in life, which are fragile and fleeting. I hope to give the viewer a new visual experience of what nature has to offer.”
