Anita Jantz: Fine Artist & Educator
Since 1989, Anita Jantz has created vibrant watercolor and pastel works, exploring transparent hues in florals, landscapes, and nature studies. Her award‑winning pieces exhibit nationally and in local galleries. From her Longmont studio, she offers private lessons and commissions.
Trained through workshops with Terry Madden, Tony Couch, and Tom Lynch, Anita refined her technique and deepened her expressive use of color.
Her art has appeared in numerous shows, earning local, regional, and national recognition. Over the past decade, galleries in Louisville and Longmont have featured her work.
Her paintings are frequently commissioned and held in private collections. Alongside creating originals, she teaches watercolor classes and private lessons.
Artist's statement:
“I paint what excites me, which is usually found in nature. I see colors abounding everywhere, and I enhance these colors in my paintings for the viewers to see what I see. I strive to record and make permanent those things in life, which are fragile and fleeting. I hope to give the viewer a new visual experience of what nature has to offer.”
