Anita Jantz has been creating watercolor and pastel paintings professionally since 1989. She fell in love with the beautiful transparent hues that create dynamic and colorful florals, landscapes, and items in nature.
She has completed workshops with nationally known and local established artists, Terry Madden, Tony Couch, and Tom Lynch.
She has shown her work in numerous shows and has won awards locally and nationally.
Her body of work has been displayed in galleries in Louisville and Longmont for the last decade. She has received numerous commissions, and her art can be found in private collections. She also teaches watercolor painting classes and private lessons in her studio.
Artist's statement:
“I paint what excites me, which is usually found in nature. I see colors abounding everywhere, and I enhance these colors in my paintings for the viewers to see what I see. I strive to record and make permanent those things in life, which are fragile and fleeting. I hope to give the viewer a new visual experience of what nature has to offer.”
