Artist’s Background & Vision
Since 1989, Anita Jantz has created professional watercolor and pastel works known for their transparent, vivid color. Her subjects—florals, landscapes, and found elements in nature—celebrate light and movement.
She has trained through workshops with nationally recognized artists, including Terry Madden, Tony Couch, and Tom Lynch.
Her paintings have appeared in numerous shows, earning awards at local and national levels.
For the past decade, her work has been featured in galleries in Louisville and Longmont. She has completed many commissions, her pieces reside in private collections, and she teaches watercolor classes and private lessons in her studio.
Artist's statement:
“I paint what excites me, which is usually found in nature. I see colors abounding everywhere, and I enhance these colors in my paintings for the viewers to see what I see. I strive to record and make permanent those things in life, which are fragile and fleeting. I hope to give the viewer a new visual experience of what nature has to offer.”
