About Anita
Professional Background & Achievements
Anita Jantz has been creating watercolor and pastel paintings professionally since 1989. She fell in love with the transparent hues that bring dynamic, colorful florals, landscapes, and natural subjects to life.
She has studied in workshops with nationally recognized and established artists, including Terry Madden, Tony Couch, and Tom Lynch.
Her work has been shown in numerous exhibitions and has earned awards locally and nationally.
For the past decade, her paintings have been displayed in galleries in Louisville and Longmont. She has received numerous commissions, and her pieces appear in private collections. Anita also teaches watercolor classes and offers private lessons in her studio.
Artist's Statement: My Creative Vision
“I paint what excites me, which is usually found in nature. I see colors abounding everywhere, and I enhance these colors in my paintings for viewers to see what I see. I strive to record and make permanent those things in life that are fragile and fleeting. I hope to give the viewer a new visual experience of what nature has to offer.”
