About Anita Jantz
Anita Jantz has been creating watercolor and pastel paintings professionally since 1989, drawn to transparent hues that bring florals, landscapes, and natural subjects to life.
She has completed workshops with nationally known artists Terry Madden, Tony Couch, and Tom Lynch. Her work has been exhibited widely and has earned awards locally and nationally. Her art appears in galleries across Louisville and Longmont and in private collections, and she teaches watercolor classes and private lessons in her studio.
Artist’s statement: “I paint what excites me, which is usually found in nature. I see colors abounding everywhere, and I enhance these colors in my paintings for the viewers to see what I see. I strive to record and make permanent those things in life, which are fragile and fleeting. I hope to give the viewer a new visual experience of what nature has to offer.”
